UL has developed more than 800 Standards for Safety. Since 1988, UL has offered manufacturers of food service equipment a certification program to demonstrate compliance with public health codes. An integral part of UL's certification service is factory follow-up inspection. UL conducts a minimum of four announced inspections at each factory producing equipment bearing UL Certification Marks.
