ENERGY STAR 2012 Commercial Food Service (CFS) Incentive Guide Now Posted

The 2012 edition of the annual ENERGY STAR Commercial Food Service (CFS) Incentive Guide has been posted on the ENERGY STAR website at www.energystar.gov/cfs under the “Buying Guidance” tab and can be accessed directly at www.energystar.gov/cfs/incentiveguide (Excel file).

The CFS Incentive Guide provides an overview of utility-sponsored incentive programs for the eight types of ENERGY STAR certified CFS equipment [fryers, hot food holding cabinets (HFHCs), refrigerators and freezers, ice machines, dishwashers, steam cookers, griddles, and ovens]. Incentives for other types of equipment are also included where applicable.

This Incentive Guide showcases incentives from more than 60 utilities across more than 40 states. The Excel format allows you to filter incentive information based on several data points, such as equipment type, state, or incentive value.

We hope that you continue to find this Incentive Guide a valuable tool when purchasing ENERGY STAR qualified CFS equipment. This tool is also designed to help increase collaboration between program sponsors and CFS distributors, retailers, and manufacturers who wish to promote energy efficiency in the commercial kitchen industry.

New England, Massachusetts Rebates

New England natural gas utilities are now offering generous financial incentives to businesses that purchase energy efficient natural gas fryers effective September 1, 2007. GasNetworks®, a collaborative of the major gas utilities in New England, which promoted the use of high effieciency gas since 1997, has increased the rebate on eligible fryers to . New York State Rebates

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers incentives on selected high efficiency commercial food service equipment. Incentives range from to , depending on the model. NYSERDA offers rebates in the following commercial equipment categories: refrigerators and freezers, ice machines, combination ovens, convection ovens, electric and gas fryers, gas and electric steamers, and electric griddles.
